Paul, This is wonderful, I love the colours and the DOF is spot on, however I think I would have liked to see more at the bottom, but then I don't know what was there.

I looked at visiting this roundabout last weekend but the weather was dreadful.

Paul, great job at keeping the exposure in balance, always a problem for me with similar subjects. I would LOVE to see that spread of flowers shot from a lower angle, it would be awesome, although the BG may have prevented that.
I think the backlighting is a good element, though I think a much tighter crop would make this image stronger. The surrounding grass and dirt add nothing to the impact of the stripes, and I think a crop to just the petals would show us what you initially saw in these flowers.
