I like the composition. However a couple of things bother me.
1. The shadows around the boys face do nothing for me. Perhaps a bit of fill in flash to lighten the shadows would help here.
2. The 3 spots to the right of the boys neck ruin the smoothness of the background.

Spots? What spots?
As for the shadows, they are a bit strong but I don't feel they detract too much. Fill would have helped but I may have got reflection off the sunshades. Albeit reflections can be removed just like spots!
