    Public Art IV

The park entrance has a large wrought iron gate and archway over the sidewalk. This is part of one side of the gate/archway.

    Re: Public Art IV

    CF,

I was gonna post comments seperately but then decided to view the series and give my feedback once in here:

3 and 4 for me are great shots...got nothing to say about them except

AS for 1 and 2, well, in 1 like was advised, a tighter crop might have been better, but i think also the colors feel like they been taken with buil-in flash... it lost the effect it could have had because its too white (at least for my taste)

2 has some of the same feeling, the fill flash (if it was used) seems to do more than fill... and the sky color could use a wee bit of a tweak...

Although i don't like the first, i like the 2nd in matters of composition angle...

    hope this helps,
    Marc

This is the best of the four as it is not just a photo of a piece of work by someone else. You have used the light and contrast to create your own work.

The flare I like, but the chromatics are bordering on being too much. This photo could possibly benefit from selective saturation adjustments, both increases and decreases.

Overall, the sky works to portray the ironwork's solemnity.

    Thanks for sharing.

    drg/Marc:

Thanks so much for the comments. I was trying different things and was looking for feedback, thus I appreciate your time. As for the chromatics I pulled that to give some spark. I know what you mean but I had hoped it would be a real positive too.

    Thanks again.
