    Public Art I

I went on a photo shoot this morning of pubic art. I have four images to share. The first image is of the base of a statute. I thought the texture and colors more interesting than the art itself.

    CF -

Might want to consider just putting all four together next time, since they're a series.

This shot has some interesting things within it, but the overall composition is lacking. Could you have gotten closer? This is where a macro would work out great. The center area is sharp and has a lot of potential for an abstract. If you could get in close or crop to that then I think it would be stronger. I feel the ledge below the center and to the left takes away from the photo. The areas fading out area are also disappointing. The angle of the shot is a negative - looks like it was taken at ~ a 30 degree angle ... I think it might have been best head on.

Anyway, just ideas for next time!

    GB,

Thanks for the comments, especially about combining.

This shot was taken just a few inches away, with a macro lens. I kept the ledge on the left in because I thought the color and angle added to the shot. But, I see what you are saying. I appreciate the feedback.
