    providence shots

I'm in Providence for the next 6 weeks or so, so why not take some shots?
    Tell me what you think.

    Re: providence shots

Number 1 and 3 are fine technically. There is a lot of good detail in # 1. # 3 seems almost surreal, but I think it would have been more effective if you left some space above the top of the tower.

    # 2, I can see what you were going for ......... It's a nice tree, powerful, ancient (probably a lot older than you or I).... but with a shot like this, the exposure and lighting is just so critical. I think it came out too dark with the more interesting areas on the far side of the leaves. This might be one subject and angle where you may never get the kind of image that registers in your mind with your own eyes, because sensors and film can't reproduce.

#2 might have been a good hdr subject. Something I hope to do someday.

I was thinking that too, but unfortunately I didn't have a tripod then, but I'm going back with one.

    Re: providence shots

Is it me, or is the tower in #1 leaning to the right? I also think #3 would be a great candidate for HDR.
