    Got Lucky...

    Hi all

    This is my first attempt at post a photo. This is not the best photo - but I am quite proud of capturing the moment. Let me know what you think...

    Interesting shot. I love how you can see the strike all the way down through the tree. Intersting affect I haven't see much of. Good first shot though, it's dang near impossible to get a good lightening shot!

    Wheeeeee! There you go. I think shooting lightning is harder than shooting birds. Were you just leaving the shutter open hoping to catch something?

    Thanks Jared - think it was more luck than anything else.

    Tim - Actually a funny story - we went to a friends farm when the weather starting acting up. It was late afternoon and I did'nt have my tripod with me. I just aimed in the general direction and held the shutter button down. I think this was the tenth exposure.

    The settings was 1/80 f2.9 on FujiFilm S5500. Pure luck!

    I consider anyone who can catch lighting a very good photog indeed. I know I have failed everytime I've tried.
