    Primordial Moon

There is a theory that says our moon was created when the earth collided with an object the size of small planet. Then, the moon would have been much closer to the earth than it is now. Might it have looked something like this?

This is a composite photo using shots taken of the lunar eclipse and the summit at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, Texas.

Comments and criticisms welcome, as always.

Beautiful image Paul. I like the color you chose. Could you add some distorted reflections of the moon in those puddles? I think it would make it even more convincing.

Moon shots can be quite boring but you made a great capture and I have to agree with Chunk on your choice of color. I love the vivid details and composition. Great shot.

Great composite and color. Agree with Chunk, add the reflections, ever so subtle, and this is even better.
    Good work

    Paul,

Lovely colors and beautiful composition. I love how the moon is so big compared to everything else, adds a very mysterious, "out of this world" affect. Lovely shot,

    Jared
