    Power

Been meaning to get the 'right' shot of these towers: I don't think this is it, but C&Cs welcome.

I like the composition, did you use a filter? Looks like there is some vibration or over sharpening? I'd have liked to see the background a bit darker, maybe timing of the day when the shot was taken? Otherwise its a great shot. S

    Re: Power

I think more dramatic lighting or a more dramatic sky would help. Very nice though.

    Re: Power

    Thks folks.

It was shot pretty much in mid-day, so the lighting was quite bland. I did a lot of PP to get it to look a little more interesting: smart blur (the vibration look), contrast, color and vignette (frame). What came out was somewhat surreal looking.

I like the shapes of the towers but I think I need to get more underneath them and shoot at a sharper angle to add some feeling of height.

    Thanks for commenting!

    Re: Power

I love it, but a couple things bother me: a) the greenish halos/outlines around the towers and b) the blue in the sky; it's too much for my taste... or maybe just the wrong hue.

Incidentally, I hope you don't mind, but I played around with the shot on my own, adding/blending in a few, more dramatic, skies. Conclusion: it would have to be just the right one to add anything to the photo.

The above considered, I still love what you've done, the angle and focal length you chose, etc. Those towers look surreal - slightly eerie.
