    portrait work

I have not posted any work in quite some time so here's an example of some recent portrait work. This shot was taken with a diy softbox with 2-150 watt tungsten bulbs. A white foamcore reflector was used on the opposite side. A white sheet was used as a backdrop. Camera used was a Canon compact at full zoom. Aperture was f3.0 and the shutter speed was about 1/40 sec. at ISO 100. B+W conversion was done with Photoshop. Comments welcome-thanks in advance.

I am not a potrait person, but if it were me I would like a little less shine on the forehead. Is the ring significant? - TF

I like this one. Very flattering B&W conversion, good lighting management, natural pose, and the glasses handled very well - this can be especially tricky with bifocals as the light wants to refract off that line where the grind changes.

I like it. looks fine to me, i love the tones, looks professional, it might need a little deeper blacks but that's about it. i really don't anything to critique, i also like the pose.
