    Exclamation Portrait of Valeri

    We had a guest staying at our house for shabbat, and I photographed him Saturday night. He came to Israel from Russia a short time ago alone moving away from his family, and now lives in Be'er-Sheva (which is being hit by rockets). I really liked the uplighting Idea so this time I tried it with a homemade softbox. tell me what you think:

    cardboard box lined withj aluminum foil and a ripped stretched out T-shirt on the front

    Great shot and good tip about the homemade softbox,must try it.

    I hope you weren't intending to send this image back to his family. It's a pretty scary image of him. You've made him look like monster.

    Thank you, and Spiral - I try to whenever I meet someone but you need a lot of people for that...

    Very great, high quality looking photo. I don't think this needs much critiquing. There is a story written all over the face and it's scars.

    I like it...very menacing. I might center his face a little more (add to right or remove from left).
