Some nice portraits you have been posting lately Willem. This one is my favorite out of your recent stuff. Has lots of character. I'm a little torn on the white background though. One of the things I like about your work is you get the whole scene in the shot, they have more of a story to them. The white background doesn't do this guy justice. He's such an interesting character I would have liked to have seen more of what was going on.

I'm intrigued by how the white background forces you to make eye contact with the subject. It's almost confrontational, something we rarely see in a portrait. I've not been around long enough to see a lot of Fotowillem's prior work, other than what he has put up at his weblog, but I am quickly becoming a huge fan.
