    Portrait

    Hi !

I have just brought this ProFoto Flash kit. And now I need a book on studio lighting - which book should I buy?

This picture is my first shoot - taken in my livingroom with my new flash

Not bad for a first effort.
His whole face seems a little dark, so you'll need to make sure you have a light coming directly on his.
If you have specific lighting question you should check out the studio lighting forum.
    Welcome to PR.com btw!
I look foward to seeing more from you.

    Re: Portrait

I agree with Brian, a little dark on the face, especially on the lower half. Also, with him wearing a darker colored sweater, it gives an awfully "dark" feel to it. Nice first attempt though,

    Re: Portrait

not a bad first try at all. the lighting is not too bad really although for this type of shot with strong side lighting I would try to get the eye closest to the light more in the light and make sure you focuts on the eye. the eyes will make a portrait! look at the lighting forum for some great tips.

    Re: Portrait

As for the lighting, well, I'm pretty much in agreement with everyone, but since I've never actually tried portraiture, I have no qualifications to critique. I'll say this.....not bad for the first attempt.
