    A Portrait...

I did this portrait last week, while I shooting some bike stuff for www.canfieldbrothers.com, This is Chris Canfield.

Other than the yellow/greenish cast, I really like the light, the way it fills the frame and the DOF you chose. I could see it being in the "bio" section of his website.

I agree. This is a great shot but just needs some color correction. Try this on for size.

hmm...just looked at it after posting...could still use some curves adjustment in the shadow range.

that's weird. just went back to look at the photo in photoshop and it looks fine. on the forum it looks slightly washed out.

I hear you Ray, about it looking different here and there.

The shot works pretty good i think. A little bit too much sunlight on his face but it works good for the site.

side note - i hate when people where shades when they get their picture taken or your trying to talk to them they dont take them off , i think its rude.

I like tight shots like this.

As for the color cast...judging by the shadows, I'm guessing this was taken late in the day. It looks like the sun was getting real close to the horizon, which means you were shooting during the "golden hour". That would account for the golden (or yellow) color cast.

    Thanks Roberto!
Looking my version and what Ray posted here, at my computer at work(SHHHHHH!), I think my version looks better! No Offense Ray!
Yes, I did this in the 5 O'Clock hour, so it was during that golden hour or so.

I like the original better as well, mainly because, in spite of the color cast, it's warmer.
