    Porto Night

This is a 2 photo stitch job from my recent trip to portugal/spain. This is the city of Porto in northern Portugal, what do you think?

I like it, but it would really add to the picture if the boat was lit, but it seems like that wasn't within your control.

    Re: Porto Night

Hey John, thanks man. I'm always around and browsing. Hope everything is well with you.

Oh, there will be more pics Xia

Manacsa, I got lucky that the skies were so continuous in tone in both shots. In fact I used the regular photoshop 'merge photos' and haven't manually fixed or got rid off any seem in this version. This was a straight stitch. I'm going to have to do a minor fix for the larger version. I won't tell you where ;)

    Thanks all.

P.S. There's a slight curve of the horizon that bugs me. It might me a natural curve due to terrain or perspective, etc. It still bugs me a bit. Anybody know if there is software out there that fix curvature problems?

That curve did catch my attention - but looking closely, it seems to be natural.

What IS missing is a nice bottle of Port to share

Liban, good to see you on here again. I think your stitch looks well done and the colors are deep. My only nitpik would be to see a little more detail in the boat at the left side.
the cloud formation that comes out over the city pulls my eye up from the city into the sky and around the picture. It works real well.
    good stuff.

The picture is great. I do see some distortion in the waterline/horizon. I had a few panos stitch like this on my first tries. I think it was due do changing camera settings as I shot across the horizon. I also started using Pano Maker 4 and have had some great results. No keepers yet just test runs.....

    Re: Porto Night

coachgns, the port has already been all digested ;)

    Gary,
I agree about the boat. Though there was nothing I could do. I think the sail with the hanging flags saved the boat from being lost in this shot. Also, the upper part of the boat has some good detail in the big version of this shot.

    Tyson,
I loved it. I've been to both portugal and spain on this trip and I enjoyed portugal so much more. Just a gorgeous place with very kind people. If you ever wanna visit portugal feel free to message me. I've been to about 10 coastal cities there.

    My favourtie places were:
    porto
    Nazare
    Lagos
    & Lisbon.

    Greg,
I didn't change the camera setting nor the position at all. I think it might be photoshops 'merge' tool. considering I didn't have to fix the seams, I should try out your suggestion of pano maker.

    Thanks all
    Liban
