    Port Angeles Harbor, 16:10 Crop

While waiting for the MV Coho to leave the docks for Victoria BC, I shot this and cropped it to fit into my widescreen monitor.

I think that it's a little too muted and I would crop some of the water in the foreground but I like the scene and how the land gets gradually lost in the mist. Victoria is beautiful, so is the entire Island of Vancouver.

I agree that it's overly muted. But it isn't a bad backdrop for a main subject. The problem I see here though is that the subject is entirely missing. If only there was an interesting crab boat anchored there in the 1/3rd pt from the left...

For the record, this was taken in Port Angeles, directly south of Victoria.

If I had the pier in the shot more and taken another shot for the panorama, would that help with the lack of subject?

Here's another shot I took, but it didnt have the shore stretching into the distance.

I'm not sure what you mean by muted. I was going for "peaceful"
