The car in the first image looks pretty interesting (and valuable).
    No, I DON'T need that.

    Don!

Many congratulations on your latest acquisition! Your photography is about to step up to the level your "eye" has already achieved. Since you are still feeling your way around the new rig I have a suggestion for better mid day photos, turn on your flash. I promise, you're going to be thrilled. Even on full auto with the flash on, the camera will make different meter calculations because you have the flash engaged. This will give you richer blue skies, significantly reduce wash out from over exposure because your f-stop can afford to be higher and you can enjoy a faster shutter speed as well, I mean lightning fast. Plus, no nasty dark shadows overpowering your subject of interest as in shot #2. It's called fill flash and it is the only thing an on-camera flash is good for. Congrats again and happy shooting!

Really like the 2nd shot Don. Maybe if you could lighten up the shadow areas a bit it would show more information, but it really looks interesting already.

Very nice job Don. I'm glad that the Nikon is treating you great, you have a great eye for the everyday things everyone else looks past. Keep up the good work.
