Here's a couple from the batch of photos printed last week! All thoughts welcome.

All work is done in a darkroom, 35mm B & W. No digital editing done. Unfortunately scanned prints don't look quite as good as the prints themselves, but you get the jist.

of these #2 is my favorite. The lines and patterns are superb.

I also like #4, great composition, not sure about the top branches, might be good to exclude them or include them more.

#5 is nice and simple, divided into 3rds, good sky, patterns, and lines.

They do seem washed out, but I'll blame scans.

If you get a chance to reprint these, I'd recommend burning the buildings a bit and dodging the sky....wait...haha, I mean dodging the buildings and burning the sky...I think.

They are all good but I like three the best. #4 maybe cropped a bit to tight.

I think they all have a certain appeal, but #3 is the one that holds my attention. I like the hard contrasts, shapes of the cars and sign. Actually, I think the funny looking little car in front is what I like. I would sat the last is the weakest shot in that I feel the composition is to balanced and the sky in the middle slicing the image in half. sort of the same philosophy as why it is generally a bad thing to center the horizon. the buildings (subjects) are not strong enough to hold down the image.
btw, when posting for critique, please try to keep it down to one image per thread, unless they are variations of the same picture for discussion.
As you say, i'm sure the actual prints look even better than the scans

Yes, I definitely feel # 3 has the most character. Too bad it has the modern car in there too, would be better w/o it. The bottom one's interesting too, like the "downtown view" or something.

Mr Yuck- I'd have to agree with you, I think 4 would be better without the branches at the top. I'd also have to agree that on 3 I should have dodged the buildings and even the cars out a little bit, their a bit black.

Greg- Funny you mention that it's cropped a bit too tight. Last week I had to send my main 35mm camera in to get repaired, so it's left me without my regular shooting gear, including my wide angled, set focus lens, which is what I most always shoot with. I agree, that it could be zoomed out a little more, unfortunately in my situation, it wasn't possible.

gahspidy- I see what your saying with the split in half composition. Usually I wouldn't do this, but the scene appealed to me very much, and that was how I saw it when I looked straight up, so I took the shot. I suppose what I think isn't always the best though, which is why I posted it, and the others here. But even still, It still has a certain appeal to it for me. Also, I wasn't aware of that rule(multiple images in 1 post), I apologize, is it somewhat new?

GB1- The modern car was actually deliberate, and is apart of what I'm trying to get across with the picture. It's going the "right way."
