Finally. I get to use my D70.

I finally got to put my D70 to work for the first time since I got it last wednesday. I am really excited with this camera!

I like the composition of the shot. Very good. All that negative space is effective.
Is the color cast intentional? If not, what is your white balance set on? I like it with the wall being a warm white instead.

Have fun with that new camera, I envy you.

I like this a lot - especially the boys eyes which seem to have a supernatural look.

I even like the blue colour cast which seems to highten the supernatural look.

The title I would have used is something like Soulless or Empty Vessel...

My one minor critique is the top left where the ceiling cuts across the image, it may look better with that cropped out, but this is a very minor thing.

    Thanks guys.
Yes, the colour of the photograph was indeed intentional. Where it was shot happened to be at the end of this parking structure that is flooded for some odd reason (Hasn't been any rain here in quite some time) and there was this very light blue light that gave off just the look I wanted to capture. I've shared this photograph on a few other boards and nobody likes it. They complain about the colour. Eh. We are entilted to our own opinions. I do like this photo alot though.

    Hi Kyle,

I agree with the other's comments. The color cast doesn't bother me. But, I do think the shot could have been exposed better and sharper. I would like to see more of the face and expression. If interested, you may be able to work these in PP.

Cool perspective, but the exposure looks poor. I get that kind of result in low light sometimes with my D70.

    Hello Kyle,

This shot works for me in its own way. It's not as clear or as sharp as it could be as it was already been said but I don't think that it need to be either. To me this is all about weirdness and a spooky mood.

I'm kinda curious if you and the other folks like it like this or like the original. Forgive me if I've overstepped nay bounds here in adjusting it. It ends up looking like two different pictures to me.

I guess that I'd like something in betwen lol

Your edit have its own value. The edge with the ceiling get lost which is a plus (although this area actually is washed out now). The spooky mood that got my attention at first remain and the freaky gaze of the guy is even stronger now. However, the whole scene seems a bit too bright to me. That's an interesting edit, what have you done?

Hmm. Thanks for all the critiques. I really appreciate it. I plan on going back to this location this week with two subjects to shoot some of the same and try some new settings as well as a couple other spots at this locatoin that I couldn't access because of this night club there. Thanks again for all the tips/advice. I enjoy reading it and trying to improve.
