    Please critique

    Please give me all of your thoughts, and observations.

    These are not the highest resolution.

    I'm a beginner photographer experimenting with lighting, and different editing techniques in photoshop cs3, and paint shop pro.

    I'd like critiques from both sides of the camera. A photographer's point of view, and what you would like to see if the picture was of you (or your child) and you'd paid to have these taken. My ultimate goal is to improve my technique and style, and be the best that I can be.

    Your help is appreciated!

    I love these shots and the contrast of the black background. It isolates the subject the way our mind's eye might and focuses all concentration upon the subject. I think most parents would like such a shot of their child.

    could be the jpg conversion but the face/eyes don't appear sharp

    Ahhh, the first looks saleable.

    Personally I'd reduce the saturation on the face a little.
