    Welcome on board,

I do like the colours in this photo and the composition is quite good, however I would have moved a little to the left of your positiion to open up the spacing for the railings and the bridge pillars if that makes sense. I am of course assuming you have space to your left to move into.

I would also have probably exposed a bit more for the sky as the sky is a little blown, most P&S can compensate for EV.

Nice location probably there are many photos of this bridge that you can take. Lookign forward to more.

Looks like you didn't get much help from Ma Nature. It must have been overcast that day? I like the composition and the colors. Nice job for a p&s.

that's about as far over to the left as i could get without obscuring the bridge with bamboo trees. i was also disappointed with the over exposed sky. not too whipy with photoshop, but i'm not afraid to give it a shot. thanks for the input.

swmdrayfan: it was indeed not only overcast, but very rainy. absolutely miserable in fact, because i was on my bicycle. thanks for the kind words.

Aside from the blown out sky, , I think your composition is strong. The colors contrast is good, and although I understand what Roger is getting at with the suggestion of moving over, I think the strong dynamic of this perspective would have been lost.
