    The Players

I put these in the sports board, too. These are from a practice round of The Players Championship Wed. I was a little limited in the gear I could bring (one lens under six inches -- thank goodness they didn't measure, no monopod, no hood -- it's four inches by itself), but had fun. The first one is Luke Donald from the sand. The second is Sergio Garcia. The third is Fred Funk, defending champion. All taken with a Nikon D50 and Sigma 50-500mm.

Great shots. I love all of them, though just a few nit picks.

1 - It seems underexposed for me and in relation to the others. I love the capture though, but I think a little more exposed and really make those colors pop.

    2 - Fine as is.

3 - Would have liked to see the full body/golf club in the shot, but I think this works also. Great focus on the eyes too.

    Well done!

Boy it looks like you had a fun day! And they let you bring your camera too! Double fun! I really like these and since Jared has done me the favor of pointing out the technical detractions and I agree about the highlights I'll just say that my favs. in order are #3 for the awesome eyes of that man swinging out of the sand, #3 for the action and interesting "look" of the player and last #2 which is definitely cool but a more subdued scene in comparison. I'm so drawn to the drama of the action.
