    Playa Jaco

Here's a shot of the beach in Jaco, Costa Rica. I just got back from there earlier tonight. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to shoot much I was too busy shopping with the Girlfriend

Wow Liban! I am always amazed that I'm one of the first to respond to your awesome pictures. You certainly have been an inspiration to many! This picture is awesome! Great composition, even greater colors. I love the dark red of the sand, very appealing to the eyes. The one 'critique' that I have would be that it would be nice to have a little more in the foreground, say a person or something, just to add to that depth factor and get a sense of how really big this beach is. Beautiful shot though.

And, hey, you made the girlfriend happy which is (hopefully) better then a good picture

Thnx Jared, I always appreciate your commenting first. I think we're one of the few ones that are up this late at night relatively speaking. it's probably not that late for you over in BC.
I have another shot that has me in the foreground but sadly I think I ruin the shot lol. And although I know I took a few shots from that spots I don't remember taking one with anything else in the foreground.

Edit: Oh yeah, the GF is happy alright ;)

Nice image, Liban. Seems a little dark in the shadow areas, contrasty, but not too bad. Nice feel to this.

    Thnx Gary.

It doesn't look dark at all on my screen. I think I might need to calibrate it. Is your screen calibrated?

I should clarify a bit more. . .it does not look dark, just a bit cointrasty in the shadow areas, but still looks fine as it is. I have my monitor calibrated with a quickgamma software, which is similiar to adobe gamma, but supposed to be a bit more accurate. but more importantly, My setting is at a temp. of 6500K, 2.2 gamma, contrast is about full and brightness at about 35%.
