Knowing the look of the building very well, if you had early morning or late afternoon blue sky in this one, I might prefer it in color. While the angle is a little severe, it's still a neat effect. Once I get my new camera one of the first things I'm going to do is head downtown for a day and do nothing but shoot building shots.

    Thanks for sharing these.

    Thumbs down * Important *

    HifiJohn,

It's important that you read this thread; Why such a lack of replies?

Did you know that I almost left this forum, not knowing that it was just the same person who wasn't replying to any of my posts.

I just checked your earlier threads. You have 64 threads in which you posted and you posted 65 times. Yes, that means you only replied in one thread and that was only a question, not even related to photography. So you posted 64 photographs and in none of these threads you thanked people or discussed what they had to say.

It also shows that you have NEVER commented on the works of those who have commented on your photographs, as a fact, you have NEVER commented on any photograph on this board, at least not in this forum.

So if you ever wonder why I refuse to comment on your photographs from now on, it's because I think you're very selfish, period! It's give and take in this world and also on this board. The only thing you do is take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take, take (64 times)

If the one who posts a photograph doesn't thank all the time or doesn't reply or discuss anything, people can live with that, but never in 64 threads, gosh, that must be a record!

I tried to help you out, by commenting on your images that had zero replies, because in my opinion everybody who shares a photograph deserves some comments. I guess now I know why you don't get a lot of comments.

And you know John, the only one you're scr....g is yourself, because you will get less and less comments from anyone.

Sorry, but just had to get this of my chest.

Btw, neither do I expect a reply from you this time, because that would be a miracle.

I want to excuse the moderators for bringing this out in public, but I think all our great members have to know all this before they spend their PRECIOUS time on commenting on his photographs.

    Actually...

I think your reply is well written and justified...

You did a great job of keeping everything civil, when I know you must have been REAL tempted to throw in a few choice, uh, colorful phrases to emphasize your point.

There are always reasons people do the things they do. There is obviously a reason this poster doesn't want to discuss their work. That's too bad, as you so rightly point out, for THEM...

The important thing here is that YOU'VE realized this would have been a ridiculous reason for you to leave the site. Like most of us, you've simply decided there are members here whose posts you choose to avoid...
