the pits

I need help on this one.
The building/window is straight but there seems to be an optical illusion making it all look skewed because I was shooting off-perpendicular from the building.

Is there a better crop of this?
Please post improvements !

Interesting angle. I'd crop out the bottom so that the pilars aren't visible, letting the viewer guess what's going on. It almost seems like the cars are on a rarmp/bridge!

I'd suggest a crop of just the windows and the reflection. You could use Warp/Skew/Rotate adjustmenta to straighten the top to the bottom.

This is a very intriguing perspective shot of pit road in front of the garages. As such, it could include the bottom even if it is at an angle.

It might have been interesting Paul had you shown the cars as well, but I do like it as it is.
I like that you are looking beyond the action of the races for something that is not standard for sports photography.
I would crop it so that just a bit of the windows behind the reflection is showing and leave the bottom as is.

I prefer the two crops you have or you could crop the bottom one so that thers is just the window with the reflection which I believe would improve the original.

I've got a full frame here, and I thought that the car in the pits was too small.
Which is why I cropped to the window itself.
I wanted to put in some building to keep it in context, but perhaps this shows why I took the tighter zoomed shot, that I've then cropped again to just the window.
Was I right?

I think I prefer it as it was now that you cropped it - Holding paper up to the screen to crop it, made it look sort of different, but not sure now. Sorry about that, I think I have to go with the original shot.

By the way I like the full frame shot, it seems to tie all the elements, cars, buildings, people, and track together. Nice one.

Hm, you mean I saw something good in that original shot ?
I might try a big print of this to see how it looks.
(Shame it was the 20D not the 1DS)
