Charm - I like how you used the DOF here, and how the photo leads to where she is walking. The only thing that would have really added to the shot is if her mother was waiting for her at the fence, looking her way or something. But still quite nice as is.

This IS a nice shot...my only nit pick being that I wish there was a little less color in the background so that the pink boots were even more apparent...particularly the reds and such above the fence.
    Overall a good image though!

    Re: Pink Boots

GB - Thank you for your kind words and suggestion. I admit I just grabbed my opportunity as she walked away but that's some good advice for future images. Much appreciated!

Emily - Thanks! That's a great point - a good one consider for next time, but also makes me wish I knew more about post-processing so I could have some fun with this one.

    Thanks again!

Hey, Charm- good shot, a little tighter cropping and the colors in the back are a bit distracting but other than that I can tell you are always thinking. Long coat, boots, fall colors on the trees, when was this taken?

Thanks CF, I'll fiddle with the cropping and see what happens. Maybe there's a way to isolate the background and tone down the saturation???? This one was taken this past November in Coloma, CA.

    Hi Charm-

isolating the background and dialing down the saturation sounds good. I am a real novice when it comes to PS so have no advise on how to accomplish that. I struggle with PS, I really need to find an adult ed class to get some basic tips.
