    Pink & Blue

I saw this from another wing of this building and I really liked the lighting. The original was a little skewed so there was some straightening and sharpening, but not much more than that. The original was also taken with a polarizer. There's a larger version in my gallery.

I'm open to whatever advice you have to offer .

    Thanks,

    PC

I like the idea of what you were going for - or at least what I *think* you were going for. But, after I had visually cascaded down each floor, my enjoyment was abruptly halted as I spied the ground on the bottom right and the illusion of floating somewhere in the sky ceased to be. My $.02 of c&c would have to be a slightly tighter crop and maybe next time find some clouds to provide some texture to that deep blue. Though as we all know, the weather doesn't always cooperate.

    This is a neat shot.
I think if the two dark windows at the very bottom were removed it would look better. The cloudless sky, with its gradual change in blue, is spot on as it assists the contrasts between the two colours.

Very good eye! The perspective is very attracting. I image there were people chatting in the balconies. Thanks for sharing.

PC, I think you could lop off the bottom of the frame at the point where the first floor meets the shadow, and clone out the little tuft of trees there. I really like the diagonal there. Good choice with the polarizer.

I don't know if I like the lighting of the sky. Going from dark to light. It looks as though you could have rotated the polarizer to the two o'clock position and balanced the lighting. But the subject and composition is very good.

Thanks for all the comments. I hadn't paid too much attention to the bottom-most floor, but once it was pointed out, I agree; I'll crop the bottom a little. I too would have liked to have a cloud there, but the weather just didn't cooperate. Maybe I'll have to borrow Rick's light in the sky .

    Thanks again for the comments.

I agree that having someone out on the balcony would have been a nice bonus, but my kids weren't patient enough for me to wait around for someone to come out Unfortunately, I'm not good enough at PS to add someone and make it believable.

Frog, this wasn't quite the golden hour, but it was just barely two hours before sunset. This wall is facing almost due west and the light is good because the sun is hitting it fairly directly.
