    Pink

Shot this today with a Nikon D200 and Tamron 90mm macro with a Tamron SP 1.4x TC. I think it was shot at f/22. Cropped slightly.

    Any thoughts?

    Re: Pink

    wild shot LL.
I really like the colors on this shot...the pink really sets a great background for those eyes. This is otherworldly and one of my favorite bug shots I have seen.
Personally I would take a bit more off the left side...I think that side has too much space and the composition is a bit off because of it.
    Still, a great shot.

    Cheers.

This is one incredible shot!! Love it. Composition seems just fine to me. Color and exposure are great also. This is a good one Lava! Great job.

    Hi LL,
The shocking pink and the eyes really stand out. Very good.

WOW!! And that's with a teleconverter! Whatever happened to "your shots will suck and never work and be too soft and..." when using such tools? You sure show that it most definitely can work. Great job.

Thank you. I think the TC negatives come from trying to use it handheld with something like my Sigma 50-500mm f/6.3 @ 500mm. You get horrible results. On the other hand, it seems to work very nicely on the 90mm and I'v ehad good results with a 300mm f/4.
