    Hey C.D. ~
I like it. The pillar holding up the sky effect. The clouds are beautiful and there is an endless feeling to the sky. The tones in your black and white conversion are clean as are the details. Solid image. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks C.L. for commenting on two elements in particular that I hoped worked. I am glad to know that the pillar supporting the sky worked for you and that conversion I chose for this translated well.

I really was lucky this particular day with this and several other images to have such a great sky to use! I was shooting indoors mostly but but had to get out and enjoy such a great fall day.

Thanks again for taking time to look and for the comments!

Very nice, CD. The towering, looming pillar in the sky is effective especially from your perpective. Upon looking at it in the gallery, I noticed your other pillar shots which i like alot. Also, the Roebling Suspension Bridge pics. Great work.

Thanks Gary and for taking time to look. I glad you also found and took time to look at the some of the other shots as you have made so many interesting photos of the Brooklyn Bridge.

I'm pleased to know that the towering and looming effect is working as I had hoped!

It's a neat effect. I think the B&W worked well here, though it prob would also be good as color.

Real nice shot. Great perspective, eye. I am very partial to cloud shots; clouds create such definition to the sky and this is just great. Exposier, b/w range is good stuff.

    I like it!

    Re: Pillaresque

GB1 The sky was wonderful that day and additionally I did make some color shots of this and some others pillars. I went with the b/w for the lines and shapes. Thanks for your comments.

Coastal Flyer Thanks for taking time to look and I agree clouds add a lot to a sky. The range and tonality worked quite well and that with the line of the imagery just made it a natural for a b/w image. Glad you like this one!

    Thanks!
