    Re: Pier Park

    Hi Mark,

This is a very interesting image. I like the clarity and sharpness here as well as the interesting buildings, which I imagine, may look more drab by daylight. Other things that strike me positively about this are the light nimbus coming from behind the large building and the texture of the piers, if that is what they are, that look very old but seem to be supporting a much newer structure. The left side seems a little over bright but I understand the balance you have to strike to get the further perspective to expose properly while still including the smaller piers.

I like it! I like the way the water fall seems to glow in the dark and how the body of the water isn't completely black. You did a great job capturing the detail of the planks in the dock. The brightness on the left looks right to me but I'm night blind so lights in extreme contrasts always look like that to me!

Very nice image, mark. The overall sharpness of it and the composition is nice. Love the water being froze in motion and how you can pick out the planks in the dock. You did a very good job on your exposure since I figure this was taken at night and all the different things you had to take into consideration there.

Hi all, I do like to take nightscapes. The prob is that the light source is often impossible to exclude from the image. So I think I should learn how to use layers so I can make two exposures and stack them together. Or I guess I could try using that other stuff...,? O yeah, film. Print film that is.
    Thanks for posting,
    Mark.
