    Pier Master

Again from the banks of the Thames. Another tight crop I'm afraid as I felt what was to either sode of the building did not do a bigger composition any favours. Is it too tight?

The tight crop is only hurt by the boat being cut in half and I sure don't know what you could do about that.

I like it Tom, even though it is tight there are enough goodies to keep the eyes moving without being busy, Maybe a couple of steps left would have helped but over all a very good image.

Tight, yes, but I think it works. Everything that i want to see is there and the boat cut in half seems neccesary and ok. I like it.

    I really like it.
    the reflections are great.
have you thought about maybe cropping the top to right above the building?

Thanks everybody. The half boat was always one aspect I was not 100% happy about but I'm happy that otherwise you feel it survives the crop.
Shooter I'll have a look at what you suggested; I wonder if it will just make it all too tight.

Wow, I thought it was a model. I usually look at the picture before I read the description, and this looked like a model to me. Good choice going with black and white on this one. Well done.

    Hi Tom,
I like the clarity of the shot. I was wondering whether it was a good idea to remove the water reflection on the bottom. By the way, where was the master? ;)

Frleal70; Many thanks. I can now see why you could see it as a model.
Yoyo; Thanks too. I think the Piermaster must be in the back (bow, stern?) of the boat! Had a look at it without the reflection and it can work that way too.

Very clean shot, it does almost look like a model. The tight crop bothers me, I want to see more. GeeNine(artist formerly known as EOSThree)
