    Re: Pictures from this weekend

If you want a critique of a photo post that photo here, not a whole bunch of links to a whole bunch of photos somewhere else.

One photo at a time is the easiest way to get a bunch of folks to comment on that one photo.
    No, I DON'T need that.

Some of those seem quite nice, why not do as MB1 suggests if you'd like some feedback.
    but then...what do I know

    Re: Pictures from this weekend

I like the composition here and it was immediatly one of the more attractive when I went through your linked shots.
The plane is, I know, very common in Alaska so using it as the dominant feature is relevant.
I'd like to see a lighter version but don't know if that can be done without burning out the sun even more.
Might also be a tad better with slight crops on left and right as the tree trunks are so narrow, I'd think it would look better without them...personal opinion though.
    Keep Shooting!

    Re: Pictures from this weekend

I thought much the same as Frog when I quickly blasted through your links. I think this is a great shot. Maybe it would be improved if there wasn't the edge of that building on the left visible or you cropped it (but I think a crop might be unattractive by reducing size of plane). I thought the buildings in the center background were maybe a bit unattractive maybe trees alone would have been nicer, but not much you could do about that.

I was really impressed with the exposure and color you got here along with the clarity lack of noise. Good composition and framing in general I thought.

    Re: Pictures from this weekend

Thanks a lot guys, I really appreciate it. I see what you mean with the edge of the shack on the left and that it wouldn't look as good to cut out the plane anymore than it is. I'll be taking some more photos tonight, thanks again.

EDIT - Also, one more thing, what is good/bad about this shot as well?

I see that the sun is almost exactly centered so I will have to crop the picture a little more.
