    pic of my sport bike

well here is my beast. Its a 2003 Honda RC51. I was playing around with floodlights tonight trying out something different . I wish I used my 70-200 vr lens but because of the distance I decided to use my sigma 24-70 2.8 Let me know if this works or not and what to do better. thanks guys and gals your the bestest.lol

I plan to do a track day with the beast.

so how can I correct the flatness? I had the camera about the same angle as the bike , was this the issue. I know I have a lot of hot spots, thats why I need some soft boxes and maybe a boom . but I used what I had, a simple 100 watt halogen bulb in a lizard light.lol

This assumes you're using two flood lights... try moving them both to the front of the bike, one at, say, 6' tall and pointing down, one ground level point up (or level)... I have never played with lighting but it seems like that would almost give it a sense of motion. As it is, the front and rear of the bike are both poorly lit and it doesn't do a lot

Another thing I'd try if I had flashes/lights is lighting from the rear so you get a sillhouette (but keep the actual lights out of the camera's view)

Beast is correct! They are like boat anchors lol I worked a track day for the RC51 club, ride safe! As far as the lighting goes, I have seen shots like this where a black flashlight is hidden up around the fron of the tank, pointed away from the camera, gives a nice glow, you will have to practice on where you place it so it stays hidden and doesnt look like a beacon lol, cant wait to see more!

I might try they back lighting idea and use my SB800 for the from maybe.I just did it in a spare of the moment. Im planning to do a real photoshoot with it this weekend. But will be all day light maybe even use of a fog machine to hide background.

Lori I seen these bike in action and can hold there own.lol Im sure Nickey Hadens could not agree more. plus I love the V-twin grunt

lori, what lens are you using (and settings) for track shots? I ride a kawi 650r 08... I high sided due to a cell phone user I just want it fixed, your profile quote couldn't be more true. he actually lied to the police about his insurance information after hitting and running.. what a mess
