    Photos from a Christmas walk

I havent gone out to take photos in a while, so on Christmas I went on a walk on a trail across the lake from me. Let me know what you think about the photos. Also, for the one waterfall, let me know which version of the shot you like better, the closer or farther view.

wow the second one is awesome. i think i'd try to get one at night with a flash maybe, where the blue sky is actually black... i think it would look really cool like that.

as for the water fall , i like the further away one.

Re: Photos from a Christmas walk

Thanks for the comments so far. The only thing that I can see that would be different with doing the second shot at night with a flash would be that all of the branches would be lit with the flash (and perhaps a flash shadow) instead of the moss standing out, being outlined by the sun coming from above. That is... unless you had some other way of setting up the flash. I really dont get out to that trail too often, so I'll take that one how it is for now. I just love looking up at the trees like that.

yeah good point about the moss being back lit... that is what makes the shot.
