I like the idea, and I think it looks great, but I think it would be improved by either getting the full petal in the frame, or coloring another petal.

Its a nice shot, the detail in the petals are really sharp.

Second one is definitely an improvement. Probably a bit more striking if the middle one is the only colored one. Unfortunately it seems not to be the one in the sweet spot of the DOF.

Someone very good at photography and pp, told me once that selective colouring was old fad. I still like doing it now and then but not sure I like it here. The leaf cut off is annoying so for me the 1/3 rule outweighs the artsy shot perspective. Not really sure where the focus centre is here so it makes the composition a bit confusing for me. Sorry this time this one doesn't work for me.
