Hi Mike,
The top shot is the winner for me. I like the rhythm of the telephone poles and bridge truss work. There are two things I try playing with. First, the shot seems a little tilted to the right. Second, the lighting seems a little dark and flat. Bump it up some, and I think this shot will just pop.

You took the words right off of my keyboard. Roatate the shot just a bit, enhance the lighting and color and this could be really good.
I didn't even notice a tilt until y'all mentioned it.
Saturation is always a problem. In the editing application on my calibrated monitor, it almost glows with color. In no-color-management IE, it's bland. I hate the continuous trial and error method of edit-save-IE-edit... Hey browser writers! Add CM!!!!

I am with everyone else. I love the railroad tracks. I would rotate it one pixel at a time and also adjust the histogram to about a -7. I would love to see it in black and white.
I'm originally from Md but don't know Perry Point -- out near Cambridge area? The tilting needs to be corrected of course, but, the photos have a nice wholesome feel to them. I find these type shots harder to make great than people might suspect, these are pretty nice.

Perry Point is on the East side of the river, down in Perryville, across the river from Harvre de Grace. This site is right next to the big VA Hospital. The Revolutionary Army under Washington spent a lot of time here because of the river.

Argg. I still can't visualize where this is... Guess I've been away from Md for too long. Sure do miss the crabs though
