    Question Perfect Stranger

Photography class makes you do silly things... like running up to someone sitting on the rocks at the beach eating their lunch and asking to take their picture.

C&Cs would be appreciated the first one has the ocean behind him dodged, but the second one is the orginal.

Good portrait. I don't know if you could get much better than this, though the background blurring looks sort of strange to me (maybe cause you mentioned it). And, I can't tell the difference between them!... are you sure you didn't post the same photo twice.......? Well, actually, the top one seems a tad bit more white in the background.

Very good shot. I also like the reflection in the sunglasses.

I noticed a little difference on the 2nd one, but not that much. I like the subjects expression, and you framed him in nicely.

the sunglasses, and smile bring the image all-together for me. Also you did a nice job not over-exposing the subjects skin. Nice job

Good classes make good challenges. They give us the excuse to be bold and take risks because some else has asked this of us. Nice job on the portrait work so far Jessica. I really like this. I can't wait to see what else this class asks you to do.

Jessica, the change in editing is so subtle that they both look fine, so stay with the original.I like the tones and conytrast here, but more importantly is your placement of the subject. I like that he is in the lower left corner and there is much space above and in front of him. It works well. Very good work

Not any real diffewrence between the two on my screen. However I would have certainly have included the ocean ,out of focus but in focus enough for us to see it. The person looks really great though with a good expression. The mono is very good too.

I prefer the second one. The first it looks like his loose strands of hair have been blurred out and its a bit distracting. He has an interesting look on his face, which keeps me engaged, wondering what he's thinking.
