A glancing look at the heavens above reveals one of the most beautiful aurora displays of the season. Faint meteor or satellite trails grace the top of the frame giving perspective to its size.

It is a really nice shot texturally. I am not sure the trees are really helping. I don't feel strongly about that one way or the other, but it seems it might be better without given that only the tips are in. the overall shot might be better with more of the trees in to make them more a part of the picture. Anyway, nicely done.

How long is the exposure ? I ask because I'm wondering if the trees can be light painted

I like the sharpness and composition of the one you posted in Nature and Wildlife much better.
This one being so tightly framed with no interesting fore or back ground does not hold my interest.
