    Thoughts on my latest.....

Sorry I've been away for awhile. I'm back now, and plan on reviewing images once again. There is ALOT of great work on this site, and I'm honored to be a part of it. Thank you also for the honor of having an image eligible for image of the year.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on some of my latest work:

    Thanks

We are equally as honored to have you Ken..

I look at all three of your photographs and it is hard to comment on this post, because the photographs are all so different. In one you have an "arty rendering" of sports photograph, then you have a portrait, and then a glamour/swimsuit photograph.
    Maybe it is just me?

You have some good stuff, and I hope you continue to post here and be a part of our community.

I agree with Brian. Good shots, just hard to comment as there's no continuity. Great shots, just hard to comment,

Ya know, I guess I'm glad then that I didn't include that nude work in there... hmmmm.... ;)

Seriously though, I have been rather busy with photography working on portraits, glam, as well as being a stringer (freelancer) for our base newspaper (hence the artsy sports photo). I was just trying to throw out there a bit of everything that's been going on.

Any and all comments are welcome of course, so thank you much!

    Great shots!
My favorite of the three is the boxing photo (not big on glam shots, well besides the obvious ). It is a rathering interesting rendering for this photo. My favorite part is the action that you have caught. That is a great stance to catch a boxer in and I know the one throwing the punch would be very happy to have that picture. Good job and great timing.
    Cheers

The Boxers: I'm honestly not too fond of this effect at all but it's an interesting experiment.
No 2: A nice picture of the lady but I feel I would have preferred it if the second ear ring hung similarly to the other.
The 3rd: I have to be careful here as I know very little about Glam photography. She definitely looks the part with a very sexy pose. The small tree/shrub behind her is very distracting and best removed. Is the vertical cactus to her right meant to be a phallic symbol (serious question). I feel this shot needs a better environment and a studio job springs to mind. I'm prepared to be a fool if you tell me it was in a studio.

I really like the one in the middle Ken -- you just know that you have just done something that you're gonna get heck for, just your not quite sure what it is yet!

    Tom,

Speak your mind! I have no problem hearing honest opinions and questions.
Now, to answer some of your questions.
The Boxers - I have gotten mixed feelings about this shot, and the PS effect done to it. And your right, the experiment has been interesting.
The close up - You are right about the earring. For some reason, that earring just did NOT want to cooperate that day, and kept turning. Actually, that's kinda why she has the intense look on her face.
Shot 3 - The ocotillo was definately a problem (the cactus behind her). The other cactus was not meant to be a phallic symbol - I could see where it could be thought of that way though. The model is from Ohio, and wanted to do some desert shots to compliment her current workings which had primarily been studio. I think a problem with it though is maybe it's too dark, and too far into the sunset. Thoughts on that?
