While you've got great detail and color on your pooch, I think your composition could have be different to make this even better. Stepping back a bit and shooting in the horizontal format would get the rest of the body of your pet in the frame. The bike, while an interesting element, is secondary to the pooch, so not getting it all in your frame would be OK. Nice that he sat still and posed for you. :-)

    I applaud the enthusiasm...

As for your photo, Depth of Field is much better than the other ones here... but there are a couple nitpicks:

1- On the right near the top, there's something causing a hotspot (bright area) which is distracting. You want to always keep an eye out for those... sometimes when you are shooting models, cropping in post is not exactly good.

2- Though not much of a big deal, having the dog sit a bit further away from the bike might have been better. This way the depth of field would help attract better attention at the dog.

They seem willing to comply to your photographic enthusiasm... I say experiment for as long as they can bear your nagging.

First off this is much better.

Charles and Mark have said all I was about to say.

    Nice looking dog.

I love the poch but i feel like you need to get the rest of that tire in there it just doesnt look rite. I think there is too much going on in this photo maybe just get the dog somewhere else.

What is the relationship between the bike and the dog? There is so much emphasis on the bike that I feel it takes over the shot.

If there is no direct relationship, I'd but the bike a lot farther in the background.
