    Patterns

Something caught my eye this afternoon. I have my thoughts on the resulting capture but what are your thoughts?

    Re: Patterns

I can see what you were going after, but for me the photo doesn't retain my interest. Probably because of the repetition of flat shingles, and the fact that the bird isn't really doing anything dramatic but is just standing there.

However, as I looked at this it did bring to mind what would keep my interest...you know those spanish style tiles? The red, curved ones? I've seen where some small birds like to make their home in the last row. To get a picture of one peering out among the abstract pattern of the shingles I think would be kinda neat.

    Re: Patterns

Great text book example of patterns and rules of third. Wondering if the picture would be better if the bird was on the right side so it was looking in to the center. You could try this in PS since the pattern would hide any hints of cut and paste.

It is probably my monitor but this looks like an illustration on my screen for some reason.

    All minor things....very nice grab!
