well, it is just personal preferences. I am sure others on here will like the sign and thing in the window. I don't mind them at all, just almost think that they may stand out a little bit too much.
There is almost an intimist feel to this one despite the fact that we don't see the person face. It must comes from the fact that you shot that one so close from the subject. I like how you excluded so much of the surrounding while maintaining significant depth in the picture.
Was this shot with your Leica? I don't think this is the kind of thing you can do with a bulky SLR...
Exactly, ChowChi-Ching. That is why I found it a little funny that I accentuated things that I liked in the image which in turn may not be liked by others (such as you...). I'm sure others will agree with you - your comments are always valid and appreciated.

Hi Seb - I hope your trip to NYC went well. Yes, this was shot with the Leica MP. I rarely use my D70+12-24 DX lens setup for street photography for exactly the reason you state - bulk and obtrusiveness. Also, the small Leica is whisper quiet...

Tuna, Thanks for your concern. I destroyed a pair of shoes on saturday due to the major rain and the fact that the blue subway line was shut without prior notice which forced me to walk a lot (a whole lot!). Other than that, the week end was excellent, I met Gary on sunday and we had a good day. You must love the 12-24DX. I rented one two months ago and I found that lense to be extremely sharp and contrasty. I hope that you had a good week end as well.
