This was shot last autumn somewhere in late october. I thought that the directional sunlight gave the scene a little something. Is it too boring/stripped down?

Wow, great patterns here! I love the parking meters, the building it self, just stunning! Great colors, the only critique I can offer is on the brick right to the right of the street pole, there's a little yellow piece which is a tad distracting! Other then that, great shot!

The geometry, line, perspective, and colours are all very nice. I even like the little diagonal lines at the bottom of the street sign.

Tuna: i dont know about bw, the bright red of the sign post in comparison to the blueish stone really makes the shot in my opinion.

Nice photo - I like this type of minimalist picture and think it has lots of strong points, mainly it is very easy on the eye. My eye focuses on the street sign, takes the hint from the arrow and follows the patterns and objects down the wall to the left of the picture.
I have to agree with Tuna and would love to see this in B&W.

Jar_e: I wonder what this yellow triangle you are reffering at might be. It appears to be some sort of mark for land surveying but I am not too sure about it. I don't mind this dot much but it could easily be cloned out anyway.

Tuna and PlantedTao: I personally don't feel this picture in b&w but it's my pleasure to provide you with one since you both want to see it.

Perhaps, I could have made the b&w more interesting by darkening it a little and dodging the areas of light in the foreground. However, the colour version is nearly straight out of the camera (some sharpening and colour saturation boost, period.) For some reasons, this one just comes out duller in b&w, given similar post-processing.
