    Pattern

This was shot last autumn somewhere in late october. I thought that the directional sunlight gave the scene a little something. Is it too boring/stripped down?

    As usual, comments are welcome

Wow, great patterns here! I love the parking meters, the building it self, just stunning! Great colors, the only critique I can offer is on the brick right to the right of the street pole, there's a little yellow piece which is a tad distracting! Other then that, great shot!

    Good shooting,

    Jared

    Very nice shot Seb.

The geometry, line, perspective, and colours are all very nice. I even like the little diagonal lines at the bottom of the street sign.

    Great shot Seb.

    i really love this shot...
Tuna: i dont know about bw, the bright red of the sign post in comparison to the blueish stone really makes the shot in my opinion.

Seb, very nice composition here. Good eye in spotting an interesting image from the usual everyday scenes of a city.

    Seb -
Nice photo - I like this type of minimalist picture and think it has lots of strong points, mainly it is very easy on the eye. My eye focuses on the street sign, takes the hint from the arrow and follows the patterns and objects down the wall to the left of the picture.
I have to agree with Tuna and would love to see this in B&W.
    Cheers.

I'm not that much into architecturals, but I REALLY like this shot. I like the contrast of the muted colors... and the red street sign.

    Hello guys, thanks for commenting.

Jar_e: I wonder what this yellow triangle you are reffering at might be. It appears to be some sort of mark for land surveying but I am not too sure about it. I don't mind this dot much but it could easily be cloned out anyway.

Tuna and PlantedTao: I personally don't feel this picture in b&w but it's my pleasure to provide you with one since you both want to see it.

    mtb'n ski: Exactly!! ;)

Leels, Gary and Chunk: Thanks guys, I am always pleased to hear your opinions.

TDierauf: You make my day! If I manage to generate your interest for something you usually don't care about then I am especially satisfied.

    best regards

WOW FACTOR - I really like this - dump the B&W and keep the colour.

    Thanks Roger!

Perhaps, I could have made the b&w more interesting by darkening it a little and dodging the areas of light in the foreground. However, the colour version is nearly straight out of the camera (some sharpening and colour saturation boost, period.) For some reasons, this one just comes out duller in b&w, given similar post-processing.
