    Parade Shot

This was shot at the San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival parade in Japantown. I took a few of this group and was amazed to see the poses on this one. The background orignially was your typical street parade background. I wanted to make a more powerful image so blacked the background out. (I enjoyed that process but a bit laborious).

Very interesting shot (due to poses). Blacking out the background is a nice touch and good idea. Looks like you may have missed a spot under the right/center male's nose.

Good capture. Very nice whites. So often the whites are tinted from those (like me) who are still learning to process the photos. - TF

Thanks folks. For some reason I missed the replies after Caleb's. Appreciate the feedback. I really like the shot (uncommon for me) and was a bit sad it seemed only one person cared to reply (I do understand being new to a forum and how that can impact things). But now I see a few have actually replied. I smile.

    ANYWAY - thanks again.

And Caleb - I am reworking my monitor calibration and will be darkening the blacks on this shot after that. I took the shot back into Corel and lightened it and saw not only what you were referencing but also a lot of other light areas. So now I am paranoid that folks are seeing this blotchy grey/black background where I meant it to be just pure black.

    Danged digital! :blush2:
