    Parade of lights

A friend is adding this shot of the 2005 San Diego Parade of Lights to their web page, but thinks the raw photo is a bit too plain....

Anyone have ideas how to spice it up? I added a few borders (attached) but would like other ideas too. The original photo's much larger btw.

    Thanks,
    GB

I love this shot. You did a great job. I'm always afraid of suggesting things because I tend to like so much stuff overdone. I like what you've done with the middle image. The darker border allows the lights to stand out, for me.

But I thought I would try my hand at adding a little something anyway.

Oops! Too heavy a shadow. Here's a lighter version:

D - The shadow looks nice. I actually prefer the darker verison I didn't take the shot btw. I can't help but wonder if it's legit or if the fireworkers (etc?) were pasted in.. whada you think?

Well, when I thought it was yours I had no doubt that it was real, but now finding out it's not yours, it's very possible that this is a fake. Though we have seen wonders in photography around here, right?

And you're right about the darker one. It looks less obviously fake (if that's possible) than the lighter one.
