    Palm Tree HDR

I like the color cast... but the brilliant minds of this forum might think differently. its an HDR of course.

I don't want it, I just need it...to breath ...to feel ...to know I'm alive.

I really like this shot. I especially like the ghosts on the beach... it goes well with the HDR. If anything, I'd like to see more color in the palm tree.

ah thank you. I actually went colorized out of necessity because the normal saturation was just too vibrant.

If you shot this in RAW, try working with just one of the RAW files into HDR with similar tonemapping to lose the blur on the branches. The tonemapping settings are good, but the palm branch movement is a bit much for my tastes.

I like it a lot. Only critique is compositional as the far left branch of the foreground palm is cut off. The blur of branches goes well with the overall feel. No accounting for taste.

I like the ghostly effect you got with this - not normally a great fan of HDR but this works for me.

actually I shot this at dusk, so the exposures were quite lengthy. 4, 6, and 8 seconds i think.

    Re: Palm Tree HDR

I'm with Roger here. I have not seen much from HDR that I like but this seems to work for me on every level. The blur from the moving palm leaves creates an effect that mimics a painting. The reduced colors are great ( of course I'm a fan of that myself) and the ghostly figures on the beach work well. Also, very well framed and composed.
    I like it.
