    Palace Lights

This shot was taken at the palace in Barcelona. Summer days from Thursday to Sunday, they have a great water show. with their huge water fountain and water falls. If you're ever in Barcelona don't miss it!!

The lasers in the bg are great, but the shadowed towers just bother me, especially when the fg is so bright - but there wasn't much you could do about that. I would have also personally liked to see the image shifted to the left some (find the lower right statue distracting), I also think it would work if it was symmetric due to the shift.... maybe not.

Oh Liban, you must have had so much fun! I would have been in paradise with an opportunity like this. I especially like the projected shadows on the lower half of the fountains. Neat what random alternative light sources can do, isn't it? I'm going to make some time to go through your recent posts and catch up on what you've been doing, looks exciting so far.
    Best~

P.S. The silhoutted towers are not a problem for me as that appears to be an effect of the light show. And you still have distinguished between sky and tower, the silhouette is effective as an outline for the building without stealing the show.

Thanks for the feed back guys.

Nick, I didn't even notice the statue on the right till after i came home. I think rather than getting rid of it. I woulda included the other one on the other side. This shot is annoyingly just a tad off centre. I'll look through my other shots I might have shot another that's a little better framed.

    Hey CL!

Yeah, I've had a month of real fun and relaxation in europe. I really needed it as I was working straight with no days off from Jan. till Sep.

I've only posted two other shots so far. but I have lots lined up. lol

This place was just amazing. I was somewhat in the middle of it while taking this shot. The water fall u see there isn't the only thing. Then there's another water fall behind me. Then there's the huge fountain behind that. So were surrounded by falling water and the big fountain is synchronized to the music they were playing. Just very grand the whole thing. Here's another shot from about 3 levels down.

Liban, I like both of these very much. These are great night scenes from an amazing place. Nicks point about shifting a bit agetting a better symetry are valid and you could easily crop a bit off the right side of the image up to the same area as on the left. A bit off the top would maintain your aspect ratio. As for the dark towers, I like the ominous look about them against their light show.
The second image posted is also quite cool.
    Good stuff, Liban.

What an amazing building. But I agree the statue is to close to the edge on the right and the corners of the buildings as well. I wish it were wider left including the rest of the building. I really like the people and their shadows at the top of the stairs.

If you were to crop it, it would leave half the statue, so you would have to try to clone that out or something.

Edit: Maybe not, now that I look at it.

Thanks for the suggestions Gary, Greg and Nick. very much appreciated.

I wish i had a somewhat bigger angle to this. this is the second time i say this in the last 3 shots. I think i need to invest in a wider angle lens. my 18mm isn't cutting it.

Beautiful shot, if you have raw expose for FG towers and lasers, then combine for a masterpiece.
