Im going to be honest here. The photo doesn't do anything for me.
What I would try to do is correct the angle, the photo is not level the way it should be to work. Also I would of put the guardrail / Fence over to the right more instead of almost centering it.
Just my thoughts, Id give it a try, you may like it better your self after you give it a try.

Its an interesting photo and perspective. Maybe a good album photo, but not a wall hanger. The lighting is a bit bland, like a partly cloudy midday light. The man made path, the wooden pillars and ropes, the loosely maintained lawn with dandilions all do not really elicit any visual sense of 'nature', they tend to contradict it. Basically, its a pretty lame subject. I'm sure there are better scenes to shoot at a state park.
