    From the outside looking in.

    Is that Don's bus?

I commute by bike, got this with the P&S at twilight a couple of nights ago.

Seem very different from those I've seen from you: a tilted shot with impression of movement.

Is that your bike in the picture? Very nice picture for a P&S camera. The blurred bus provides action for an otherwise still scene. I find the light pole in top of the bus somewhat distracting. Maybe you can remove it with photoshop. Overall I like your image.

At least half of the photos I take are bike related,I just don't normally post them here.

I decided to give it a try and see what folks think.

I like it quite a bit. Very interesting scene ~ I didn't even look at first to see if it was tilted. Fun shot indeed, the bike is a great focal point. Dig those double-decker bus jobbies eh? It brings good motion and color to the scene. The upper deck doesn't look like such a fun place to ride in Jan./Feb. though does it? Totally worth it, I think, to make something similar with the big camera.

I like this too, particularly as it was taken with a P&S, is there an ISO setting on the camera? Seems pretty noisy and was just wondering if you could have maybe dropped the ISO setting, I like the bike most of all, it is well lit and the background of the moving bus is effective.

I think it is an interesting shot. The static bike and monument being blurred through by the passing bus (Dons Bus) creates a feeling of time pasing somehow. i like it. Possibly worth a try cropping out the piece of building on the right, but not certain if i would prefer that or not. I'll be looking out for some of Don's next Bus pics to see if i can spot your bike and yourself on the side road

When I saw you had posted a new pic, I said to myself..Cool!!! as I look forward to viewing your pics and learning your techniques, but this one is a disappointment..
I think the composition is good as always, but this is a case where that P&S was your enemy...I would try and and duplicate this same picture with your DSLR.
