    interesting composition, nice depth of field ... i don't know if it's my monitor but if the lil' girl in the middle was a little brighter it would be nice

    Hi Julsoph,

    I have trouble with this image because my eye's is drawn to the girl that's out of focus on the right side. Also the girl sitting center could be a little lighter maybe dodging would help. The composition is very interesting. Maybe the reverse could work, the girl center in soft focus and the the girl on the right in focus.

    Cheers,

    Jim B.

    I agree that the girl could be a little brighter and I think it would look better zoomed in a little bit and without the girl on the right. I like the effect the black and white has though.

    All that is gold does not glitter,
    Not all those who wander are lost;
    The old that is strong does not wither,
    Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
    From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
    A light from the shadows shall spring;
    Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
    The crownless again shall be king.

    I like this a lot, I just wish there was a little fill light on the girl in the background.
    Maybe dodge it a little?
    Otherwise I think it's fine on my monitor, nice dense black in the bushes.
    The composition is great, I wouldn't change a thing there.

    I'll go along with the group on this one, the central girl could be a bit brighter. Otherwise, I think it's an excellent use of b&w.

    Thanks all for your thoughts on this. I was wondering if this was going to show up as too dark...but I'll work on trying to lighten her up a bit.

    Thanks again!
