    Re: Outside the brickworks

I love stuff like this. Great colors, the bright orange/reds offset the almost grey doors beautifully. I do find the foreground cement a bit distracting. I see you're using it to anchor the shot, but I almost prefer cropping it out to reduce its distraction and to help solidify the geometric arrangement.

Agree. The concrete at the bottom is distracting to me b/c it is angled and stops at the drain. it is distracting of the nice lines and color. I would think about cropping at the bottom of the doors.

Seb, the lighting is right and the soft contrasting colors and tones are pleasing. i like the framing, and must say i am undecided about the concrete slab at the bottom. I think I'm more for leaving it in, as I find it adds a bit of dimension in it' s slant and shadowy edge it creates. Good one

    Seb,

I thinkyou could have gone in 2 ways, exclude the concrete or add more to ground the photo, I think this is not enough or too much if that makes sense.

As for the door and brickwork, you captured them beuatifully and I like the way you cropped the door and graffitti so that you can't see all of it.

    Re: Outside the brickworks

    Hi Seb,
My first reaction is scary as I see the shadows of two haunting hands in the shot.

Thank you all for sharing your opinion. Yoyo, I am glad to you mention the shadows because that's something that drew me to shoot this at the first place.

    Regards

    Seb
